For sure, a lot of needed functionalities are yet to be implemented, but with the tool shaping up the past days I&#8217;m eager to release an early-beta to get feedback.  So, I decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3Wx-YzCYtE8\">record myself demonstrating its current capabilities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I could draw Kisi one more time but <a href=\"http:\/\/konsolscript.sourceforge.net\/web\/2019\/10\/18\/kisi-on-kage-studio\/\">I already tried that last time<\/a>.  So, this time, I drew a character created by a Filipino comics creator Berlin Manalaysay for the now-defunct <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pilipino_FUNNY_Komiks\">Funny Komiks<\/a> &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Combatron\">called Combatron<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disclaimer:<\/strong> <em>the drawing is sketchy because I needed to limit the running time of the recording.  Rest assured, one can draw even better with the current state of the tool.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3Wx-YzCYtE8\">What you see below<\/a> is Kage Studio 0.2.191022 running on a 64bit <a href=\"http:\/\/releases.ubuntu.com\/18.04\/\">Ubuntu 18.04 LTS<\/a>, recorded by <a href=\"http:\/\/recordmydesktop.sourceforge.net\/about.php\">Gtk-RecordMyDesktop<\/a> at 8fps.  And yes, Kage Studio also compiles\/runs on 64bit Windows 7.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3Wx-YzCYtE8\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/konsolscript.sourceforge.net\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/combatron_on_kagestudio.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"combatron_on_kagestudio\" width=\"540\" height=\"416\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1172\" srcset=\"http:\/\/konsolscript.sourceforge.net\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/combatron_on_kagestudio.png 786w, http:\/\/konsolscript.sourceforge.net\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/combatron_on_kagestudio-300x231.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The recording demonstrated the following tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Oval<\/strong> &#8212; to create oval, oblong and the likes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rectangle<\/strong> &#8212; to create rectangular shapes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Poly<\/strong> &#8212; to create free forms (as recording captured, it&#8217;s still a bit buggy)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select<\/strong> &#8212; to select a shape that needs further editing<\/li>\n<li><strong>Node<\/strong> &#8212; to edit the shape<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I was not able to demonstrate the following but they are readily available as well:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fill<\/strong> &#8212; to change the color of the shape<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stroke<\/strong> &#8212; to change the color\/thickness of a shape&#8217;s outline<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eyedrop<\/strong> &#8212; to retrieve a shape&#8217;s color for use with Fill and Stroke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, what do you think?
