Quixie (KonsolScript for GNU/Linux) pre-released

After having many small developments for Quixie, we decided to finally pre-release it.

Quixie now uses OpenGL for rendering, both for Windows and GNU/Linux, thanks to MySoft. This have fixed flickering (caused by very fast graphics tearing) problem under GNU/Linux — although, it still exists if compiz is running.

As discussed before in previous post, Quixie has undergone some optimization. It does execute the famous Math Benchmarking (script suite for simple mathematical computation) in an average of two and a half seconds — but that is on GNU/Linux. Under Windows, it only averages seven to eight seconds — still is an improvement, before it was nine to ten.

Quixie now supports PNG (thanks to yetifoot) and JPG (thanks to Antoni Gual). With these improvements, I decided to finally support Alpha Blitting — not transparent, alpha. Unless FreeKE’s graphics engine is not upgraded to DirectX8, it just can’t support Apha Blitting.

Download Ki-siUDT (or User-defined Type) is now supported but arrays of a UDT is still a work-in-progress. Now you know why this is just a pre-release. 😛

Get the source code — binaries for Windows and GNU/Linux too.
